Intro:
Rest in peace to the heroes of faith, to those who have gone before us and died
for the Lord, you will never be forgotten. I salute you.
Verse 1:
Rest in peace to those who fell see their life and can’t help but tell
How they’d give it all they got to escape all from hell
The Gospel is priority always a minority
But didn’t doubt there calling or the Fathers authority
They walk in true life displaying truth of Christ
A role model to follow and example to show His light
Without them I wouldn’t be here persecution I’m sure I’d fear
But I’m designed in perfect love that is needed everywhere
There life was there offering had to give it all for Him
Holy and acceptable not to let man fall to sin
By His mercies present your body as a living sacrifice
He gave His so joyfully I give mine back to Christ
He did suffice and paid the price that I am deserving
So I give mine back to Him my reasonable service
Like men who’ve gone before us but didn’t go out in vain
They’d count it all loss just so all could know His name
And proclaim Jesus and how He had redeemed us
Not as simpletons but as sons is how He sees us
I gotta fight gotta contend stand firm for the faith
Walk in the footsteps of those who have paved the way
Crying out in the wilderness praying all is hearing this
The Kingdom is at hand and I pray you will experience
And make ready the way of the Lord make sure His path is straight
The narrow road to the throne and His loving grace
No wide paths no destruction must take heed to instruction
Those who sew to the Spirit reap of it no corruption
That’s all flesh which is death for the advancement
Of the Kingdom must preach em so they believe em and grasp it
My pride I lay it down humbled face on the ground
Waiting for His coming and when the trumpets sound
And all saints dead or alive will ascend as His bride
Until then we finishing the work that you begin
